Noelle Xie is the first Chinese-born American woman winning France’s highest honor Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur. Noelle is a global advocate for peace and sustainable development, and an art curator. Noelle works with the United Nations, the US Department of State and the US-China Museum Summit. She mobilizes resources in support of public health and education. Fluent in English, French and Chinese, Noelle is a champion of multilingualism and multiculturalism to enhance civilization dialogue and cultural exchange.

 

In 2020, Noelle published her picture book in New York “NOELLE – World Citizen & La Vie en Rose”. She made her live broadcasting premiere “Public Health & Self-Immunity” during the pandemic crisis and reached hundreds of thousands audience worldwide. Noelle was invited to the Paris Peace Forum and joined global leaders virtually to advance peace and security. Early 2020, Noelle gave interviews to European art and fashion media while attending TEFAF Art Fair, Maastricht and Paris Fashion Week.

 

In 2019, Noelle delivered a landmark acceptance speech at the insignia of the French Chevalier ceremony. Her subsequent TV interview with SinoVision in the US attained best ratings. Noelle was a keynote speaker on East-West civilization and art exchange at the Global Museum Forum in Beijing. She also appeared as an image spokesperson at the New York Fashion Week.

 

In 2018, Noelle advocated UN & SDGs, called for philanthropy and impact investment at Harvard Club, Columbia University and Confucius Institutes in America. She made contributions to benefit UNICEF and the UN Foundation. Noelle also curated a widely-acclaimed contemporary art show at Chase gallery in New York.

 

In 2017, Noelle participated actively in the first “One Planet Summit” in France to push forward “Paris Agreement” and climate action. She raised funds to support UNAIDS and its gala event at Art Basel, Switzerland. Also she led a multinational delegation to China for a culture and innovation tour in SiChuan Province.

 

Noelle started her career at the UN, working for UNICEF and WHO in New York, Geneva and across Africa. In 1995, she was a UNICEF youth delegate speaking at the historical Beijing Women’s Conference. Noelle graduated from Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University in international law. She was born in Shanghai, China.
